スケートブランド「Golosor Club」が発行したzine第4号。 あるコンピュータのオペレーティングシステムでは、バックスラッシュ（\）がディレクトリの区切りとして使われています。同じように、Issue No.4「Subtle\Subvert」では、控えめなもの（Subtle）と反骨的なもの（Subvert）を、それぞれの「ディレクトリ」に存在するという考え方をタイトルに込めました。 この考えを通して、スケートボードブランドは、ビジュアルデザインを通して独自のアイデンティティを形成していることを示している反抗、反骨精神、反体制と結びついたパンクなイメージ、闇やオカルトといったテーマ、さらには物議を醸すグラフィックを強調するブランドもあります。一方で、アーティスティックで、思わず「かわいい」と感じてしまうようなグラフィックを取り入れているブランドもあります。 それぞれのニッチに存在しながら、スケートボードを取り巻く広大なビジュアルエコシステムをかたちづくっている。 本号では、スケートボード文化そのものと切り離すことのできないビジュアルデザインについて、さまざまな視点から語られています。 This is the fourth zine published by the skate brand "Golosor Club". In one computer operating system, the backslash (`\`) is used as a directory separator. Similarly, we used the backslash in the title of Issue No. 4: Subtle\Subvert, where the subtle and the subversive occupy their respective "directories." What we mean is that skateboard brands, through their visual design language, shape their own identities. Some adopt punk imagery closely associated with rebellion, defiance, and anti-establishment. Others emphasize themes of darkness, the occult, and even graphics that spark controversy. On the other hand, there are also those with artsy, oh-so-cute graphics that are truly adorable. They live in their own niches, filling a vast and layered visual ecosystem.
